At SoccerInsight, we prioritize camp safety measures by ensuring all staff are trained in first aid and emergency protocols. Our facilities are regularly inspected to maintain a safe environment, and we adhere to all local health guidelines. We also implement child-to-staff ratios to ensure each child receives adequate supervision.
We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate the busy lives of families. Parents can choose from weekly, full-day, and half-day options, allowing children to participate in our camps at times that best suit their schedules. This flexibility is designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. Please inquire about half day weeks or daily drop in opportunities.
Camp starts at 9:00. We arrive at the field by 8:15 for setup. Families who need to go to work can drop off their campers after 8:15. No charge for early drop-off.
Camp ends at 3:00. We have supervised free play aftercare from 3:00-5:00. Aftercare is $100/week prepaid or $30/day drop in. All kids who aren't picked up by 3:10 will join the aftercare roster for the day. Aftercare pick up is at Presidio Wall Playground on West Pacific Ave (formerly Julius Kahn Playground)
We know things happen and schedules change. Feel free to contact us at soccerinsight@gmail.com and we can help make changes. We must have cancelation requests via email.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
Trust and safety are at the core of our camp operations. We conduct thorough background checks on all staff members and maintain an open line of communication with parents. Regular feedback sessions are held to continuously improve our programs and safety protocols.
We suggest that kids not share food. We also encourage kids to wash their hands after they eat. If your child requires an epi-pen with assistance we will gladly hold the pen for the week in our medical box. Please provide an epi-pen in a well marked package.
Deejae Johnson is the Camp Director. He is the Program Director and Head Coach for the Boy's Soccer Program at University High School in San Francisco. This is Deejae's 53rd year of attending camp and has been running camps for 38 years. We have University HS alums, current student-athletes from our program, and area coaches on our staff. Deejae may also bring in coaches from his network of coaches from around the country
We typically group kids by age and or gender as a starting point. Our groups are fluid and we look for outliers and aim to find a group where they can have the best experience. If a camper is scoring all the goals then we try to push them into a new group. If a camper is not engaged then we try to push them into a group with a similar skillset and engagement. Ultimately, if they'd rather be with their friends then we keep kids together in the same group.
Our campers are seasoned club players and first time players. All are welcome and we aim to create an environment where everyone can have fun.
We run our camps at the Paul Goode Field in the Presidio. Directions can be found on our website.
